We’re a creative sustainability agency designed to shift culture.
Influence is innovation.
Environmental Impact
Every project begins with the technical skill that meaningful sustainability requires. We design and produce projects with the rigor of a serious sustainability practice and the imagination of a creative agency.
Cultural amplification
We design every project as something the wider world pays attention to. The cultural layer is built into the work from the start, because a sustainability project that doesn’t move culture, doesn’t move anything.
External Influence
Being the first to do something culturally bold is worth more than being the fifth to do it well. We build work that moves the rest of the field because the true measure of impact is whether the whole sector picks it up.
Cultured Matter develops and executes creative sustainability projects through the lens of influence and innovation. We apply our unique methodology in every project to make the work dynamic, compelling, and culturally relevant. Each project is designed to accelerate environmental solutions across whole industries, and build pathways that shift culture, systems, and markets. We are rewriting the cultural narrative of climate change and sustainability to expand our collective imagination around what is possible.
Founder and creative director Simone Paz has spent nearly a decade in sustainability across the corporate and cultural sectors, including leading operational sustainability for the Americas region of the global engineering firm Arup, and building the first sustainability program at a major U.S. contemporary art museum for The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA).
